Film Truth Productions is an independent documentary and media company founded by Liz Witham and Ken Wentworth. We tell science and human stories — and help others tell theirs — across documentary film, television, podcasting, and science communication.

We are currently in post-production on Follow the Journey, a feature documentary about the endangered North Atlantic right whale, narrated by Ted Danson. The film was selected as a Wild Pitch finalist at Wildscreen Festival 2024 — Wildscreen's international competition for nature films in development — one of nine projects chosen from more than 70 entries worldwide.

Our earlier work has reached audiences nationwide. Keepers of the Light was distributed to public television stations across the country by American Public Television. Our debut film, A Certain Kind of Beauty, was selected as one of two American films to premiere in a strand on global health chaired by President Jimmy Carter at AFI/Silverdocs. Legacy of the Harp received a SAMHSA People's Voice Award.

Over two decades, we've produced and crewed work for ABC, PBS, NPR, Oprah, James Taylor, Mary Steenburgen, The Nature Conservancy, Stanford University, and Harvard University's W.E.B. Du Bois Research Institute and Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice, among many independent productions.

Today, our work extends beyond the screen into podcasting, science communication writing, and hands-on workshops — bringing the same rigor and storytelling craft to every medium.
